Hair Up Laser is a Barcelona-based startup working on a hair regeneration medical device based on low-level laser photobiomodulation. Its proposal combines technology, clinical validation and digital support to offer a clearer and more consistent experience for people following a hair treatment routine.
For this project, we developed both the Hair Up Laser mobile app in React Native for iOS and Android, as well as the complementary backoffice and backend for the clinical and operational management of the system. The app works as the digital layer of the treatment: users can create an account, access their assigned plan, register sessions, check the calendar, review their history and know when the next application or visit is due.
The development focused on creating a reliable, simple experience suited to a healthcare context. We integrated reminders and notifications, tracking for completed, planned and missed sessions, profile management, multilingual support, access to legal documentation and an information center with usage guides, general concepts, FAQs, warning signs, special situations and a treatment map.
The backoffice centralizes the management of administrators, medical professionals and patients, including account validation, patient onboarding, clinical information, alopecia type and grade, medication, treatment plans, compliance, upcoming visits and follow-up history. It also includes dashboards to visualize patients, medical professionals, app users, registered sessions, recent activity and statistics by gender, country, professional typology, alopecia type or treatment status.
The app also includes an appointment flow for the clinical trial, connecting the user's daily routine with professional follow-up. The result is a complete platform that turns a complex treatment into an understandable routine, reducing friction, reinforcing consistency and keeping the patient, the device and the clinical team aligned.
